It also works well for smartphone users and first-time safari visitors who want patient wildlife observation, varied scenery and more flexible photography stops.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are Arrival Day and Departure Day included in the two safari days? +
No. The two safari days are the Lake Manyara game drive and the Ngorongoro Crater tour. Arrival and Departure Days provide airport transfers, meals and Arusha accommodation but are not counted in the safari duration.
2. Is professional photography experience required? +
No. The package is suitable for professional photographers, beginners and travellers using smartphones. The guide provides wildlife information and responsible vehicle positioning, but formal camera training is not included.
3. Does the vehicle provide good photography access? +
Yes. The Land Cruiser has a pop-up roof and window access for wildlife photography. Guests must remain inside the vehicle and avoid placing equipment where it may obstruct other passengers or create a safety risk.
4. Can the guide position the vehicle for better photographs? +
The guide will position the vehicle responsibly where road conditions, wildlife behaviour and park regulations allow. Driving off authorized roads, disturbing animals or blocking other safari vehicles is not permitted.
5. Can we spend longer at a good wildlife sighting? +
Yes. The private arrangement provides greater flexibility than a shared safari. However, the guide must consider animal welfare, park hours, other vehicles, lunch arrangements and the road transfer to your accommodation.
6. What camera equipment should I bring? +
A telephoto lens is useful for wildlife, while a wider lens is suitable for crater scenery and forest landscapes. Bring spare batteries, memory cards, charging cables, lens-cleaning materials and protective covers against dust.
7. Are camera supports included? +
Specialized beanbags, monopods and professional camera mounts are not automatically included. They can be requested before booking, subject to availability, or guests may bring their own compact support equipment.
8. Is the overnight safari accommodation included? +
No. The budget safari lodge or camp near Karatu or Ngorongoro is selected and priced separately. We can arrange a property with electricity or charging facilities for camera equipment.
9. Will we photograph all Big Five animals? +
No complete Big Five sighting can be guaranteed. Ngorongoro provides opportunities to search for several Big Five species, but wildlife location, visibility and behaviour change naturally.
10. Can additional photography days be added? +
Yes. Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Tarangire or Serengeti nights can be added to provide more time for different light conditions and wildlife behaviour. Additional accommodation and park costs will apply.

For your wildlife safari, we use reliable 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers built specifically for the African terrain. Every vehicle comes with a pop-up roof for perfect wildlife viewing, built-in phone chargers, and a fridge for cold drinks.

A successful trek or safari is only possible because of a hard-working crew. Having worked on the mountain for years, we promise that our team is treated with the highest level of respect and dignity.

We make sure our porters and guides are well-paid, well-fed, properly clothed for the freezing cold, and have comfortable sleeping arrangements. We believe that happy crews provide the best service and the biggest smiles.
